Joe The Closet Liberal And The Death Of Congress

You have the political stage, Mr. Cao!

The only retard-li-KKKan to vote Yay on the House's version of the healthcare bill was -- you guessed it -- Anh "Joe The Closet Liberal" Cao. You can't tell me the former immigration attorney from Louisiana doesn't have a bit of Ho Chi Minh in him. Uncle Ho taught us all well. Being a lefty in disguise in an all White party can be a tough job, we know. But your unwavering integrity and dignity are the sole reasons why you have the spotlight.

I've always liked Cao from the start because he understands that his constituents are as blue as they come and his ass will be on a platter next year if he says Nay. This raises a few questions to me about political parties and the legislative process. I mean, c'mon, anyone who says it's healthy to have a two-party system should have been living with the Flintstones in Bedrock. You throw in an ineffective bicameral system of governance and we will need to engrave RIP across the tomb of what is now the Corrupted States of A-me-li-KKKa.

Didn't Charles Darwin teach us anything?? Stop sucking Plato's cock at JFK School of Government and wake the fuck up! There's a reason why Greece is a shit-hole now. The only time we can get congress to come together and agree is when we need to invade other countries and blow-up their backyards and fuck their women.

I've come to the point now where I don't have a political affiliation anymore. It's a disease, and I would equate it to religious extremism and terrorism. Our country is run by a bunch of terrorists paid off by organized crime syndicates posing as corporations that shoot at each other from across the aisle every day under the lights of C-Span. Broad-fucking-daylight, these motherfuckers are on mainstream cable news throwing around gang signs, death threats, and roadside bombs at each other.

The violence needs to stop immediately! We have real issues like Healthcare and melting ice caps and shit. If congress is gonna remain worthless, the least they can do is entertain us and dance around like circus monkeys and Chinese acrobats flying off bicycle chairs twenty feet in the air.

Even if this healthcare bill passes, it's not real reform. When will we ever hold Capitol Hill and the White House responsible for their words?? Never! Not in my lifetime. Call me a terrorist if you want, but ask yourself when the last major piece of legislation passed that changed the landscape of this country and you will know we're in some pretty deep shit. These guys get paid to be on TV. They should've been actors, not politicians.

Anyhow, back to our regularly scheduled program.

That almost sounded like a death threat when I first read it. Thanks for your blessings and keeping me in your thoughts. I got you, Melda. =)

Cao represents the district that former Congressman William Jefferson used to own.
That district is something like 60-percent black, (it is New Orleans after all!) so it's no real surprise that he would be having tremendous pressure on him.

Good that he chose to vote the way he did, but let's not give him credit he's not due.
He's in the blackest region of the country, in a district that EXPECTS Congress to produce for the people.
Let's not pretend like Cao is some bold moral paragon, or somehow exceptional. He's not.
William Jefferson is STILL highly loved down there and in a majority black district it doesn't take a lot of imagination to figure out that they might decide to run one of Jefferson's children (like his daughter who is also in government) again Cao, or somebody black.

He would be the one who got dumped next year if he didn't vote the right way.
It was political survival, and common sense that led to this vote and nothing else.

That's fair enough. Just don't give me a lecture about Jefferson and his district. It's self-evident if you have followed Cao.

On the moral inference, I'm with you. Did I not say he would have his ass on a platter next year? You mean to tell me the only repub that voted Yay can't get his kudos for breaking with his party, even some who represent the bluest of the bluest?

Please.
